in the Subject field, like this:

Subject: subscribe

To unsubscribe from the mailing list, simply send a message with the word
'unsubscribe' in the Subject field:

To: ButterflyNet-request@butterflylightning.com 
Subject: unsubscribe

Please note the "-request" in the address, and be sure to put your request (subscribe or unsubscribe) in the subject, not the body of the message. Subscriptions are handled automatically, and you will receive a confirmation message right away when your address is added to the list.
