Paul "Cowbone" Buster

Storyteller and musician Paul Buster received his name "Cowbone" from his father: It refers to the place in the swamp where the lost cows go to die - and it is this "space in the mind" where Paul and his music come from.

He was born in the South Florida Everglades and learned the native language there. Growing up, he relied on his father's guitar and a small radio for entertainment.

Paul's CD is called "Cowbone: Blackwater Bayou". And there is also music by his lovely daughter, Jessica Buster, on a CD called "Clan Song", and a tape cassette called "Me and Grandpa." Each item is $10.

Paul can be reached in his office at the Education Department of The Seminole Tribe of Florida by calling tel.# (954) 966-6300 (extension# 1262).
